Influenster #VioletVoxBox Review

I LOVE Influenster.  It is so much fun receiving new and interesting products to try for free.  Then I get to tell all you fine folks about them.  Usually, there's at least one food item in the boxes I receive.  I know my blog is about food, and I'm not much of a fashion maven, but I I do try all the products I receive in my freebies box.  I also try to tell everyone about it.  So...here goes.

Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Color
I subscribe to Julep.  So, I'm all over the nail polish.  I'm not a huge fan of glitter polish because it's such a pain to get off, but I pulled out a Julep color that complimented the glitter and went to town at work.  That's where I do most of my nail painting.  I have some time in the morning and have a plan of attack with cuticle oil to keep them from smudging.  BUT with this polish?  You don't have to worry about that.  It dried lickity split!  It's perfect for people like me; who want pretty, polished nails, but don't have tons of time waiting for it to dry.

Goody Athletique hair band.
Okay.  I'm not a hair bad person.  They usually just don't stay on my head.  This one was okay.  I didn't wear it long, but it did hold tight.  My uses for hair bands are solely for keeping hair off my face when I'm using a mask of some sort or washing my face other than the usual way.  After trying the product out, I did give it to a co-worker who does use them and was very happy to receive it!!

Soy Joy
I've heard about these bars, but never actually got around to trying them.  I'm always looking for something to pack when we go hiking that doesn't contain a crapton of fat.  That kills me!!  I want an energy bar that doesn't include me gaining weight.  Yes, I know, the point of exercise is to lose weight, but I'd lose a bit more if I wasn't nibbling on 16 grams of fat in a protein bar.  This.was.delicious.  I liked the cranberry flavor and nothing super sweet.  It was pretty filling and lasted longer than any other nibble or snack would have.

Okay...these pictures should come with a warning.  I look like the dude from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.  Just sayin...

Yup.  that's my trying the mask on.  It was different.  I left it on until it felt like it was pretty much dry, about 15 minutes, then rinsed my face off.  I did notice that my skin was a bit tighter, and not in a dry way, and that my pores did appear smaller.  They appeared smaller for a good week after using the product.  It just makes ya look like a horror movie star for a few.  *snort*

Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo
I've received a couple of dry shampoo products to try out.  I'm not a fan of dry shampoo.  For one thing, my hair isn't very oily at all.  I mean, it will take at least 4 days of not washing it for it to feel oily.  I have curly hair, which, from what I gather, lacks the natural moisture that other people have.  Hence all the frizz.  BUT, I did try this after not washing it for at least 4 days, but did my standard "wash" with non-silicone conditioner.  My hair was doing something weird that day, and thought I'd spritz it a few times with the dry shampoo.  It did seem to do something to make my hair a little less weird.  I don't know much about dry shampoo and oily hair.  BUT I did try it.  And I will be giving it to a co-worker when I remember to bring it in.

So, those are the products I received in my #VioletVoxBos from Influenster.  Please shoot me an email if you're interested in joining Influenster so you, too, can be an influencer.  *snort*

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
