Spicy Shrimp Pasta

nomnomnom  This was YUMMY!  It was so simple, yet so very tasty!!  I bought frozen broccoli and put that in the pot of water.  When it began to boil again, I removed the broccoli and then added the pasta.  I figured they wouldn't have the same cooking time.  I kept the broccoli in the strainer and poured the pasta over the broccoli to reheat it.

I also added about 1/2 cup of the pasta water to the pan with the shrimp.  The pan seemed a bit too dry and it made a nice little sauce to coat the broccoli, shrimp and eventually the pasta.

O M G this was really tasty! It was even good for lunch today...well, except for reheated shrimp.  That just is never very good, but the pasta and veggies were just as yummy.

It was so quick!  The longest part was waiting for the water to boil and the pasta to cook.  I started the shrimp about halfway through the cooking time for the pasta.  It was timed almost perfectly.

This will definitely  be on the "make again" list for a quick weeknight menu.  It didn't heat up the kitchen too much, so it would be good for an easy summer dinner, too.  I'd make sure to have some bread next time to wipe the plate clean.
